Rooting Analysis for an Unrooted Tree

Given an unrooted gene tree and a species tree, Notung-2.6 will determine the duplication history for each possible rooting of the unrooted tree, and rank them by D/L Score. The user can then consider the most biologically plausible rootings first. In the figure below, Notung evaluates all possible roots and recommends the root that produces the smallest D/L Score
